APFFN's top 25 guitarist of all times

In light of Rolling Stones debacle of a list.. I think we shoud compile our own..after all who know great guitar players better than us, right?

If Paulo has some sort of magic he can weave, maybe we can each post our top 25, then complie the "APFFN top 100" and send it off to Jan at Rolling Bone and tell him how the List SHOULD look...

Here's mine to kick things off.

1) Steve Ray Vaughan
2) Eric Clapton
3) David Gilmour
4) Ry Cooder
5) Jimi Hendrix
6) Mark Knopfler
7) Roy Buchannan
9) Lonie Mack
10) John Hiatt
11) Bonnie Raitt
12) Alex Liefson
13) Albert Collins
14) Frank Zappa
15) Susan Tedeschi
16) Kenny Wayne Sheppard
17) Adrian Belew
18) Robert Fripp
19) Terry Kath
20) Lindsay Buckingham
21) Steve Morse
22) Joe Satriani
23) Bo Diddley
24) Al DiMeola
25) Pat Metheny

That's my list....to HE** with Rolling Stone....

Here's Guitar Magazine's Geatest 100 list...

http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/page...uitarists.html

I think we'd all agree that this one is a bit more on the money.

I liked this list too...here's one Gilmour is in the top 5 on: Greatest Guitar Solos:

Yea Pearly.. It's a lot closer...I still would disagree with some.. but it's nowhere near as far offbase as RS.

Well, there was the time when tiny purple fishes ran laughing through my fingers, but we'll save it for another time.
