He is supposed to start training in Russia's Star City in the spring of 2005 for a launch in 2006. The trip will circle the moon, allowing the Soyuz to release a telescopic satellite that will eventually send picutures of the relatively unexplored back side of the moon, often referred to as the Dark Side of the Moon, back to Earth. Special attention will be paid to several large craters that may give some hints as to why the mass extinction that wiped out the dinousaurs took place on Earth billions of years ago. It is also rumored that Gilmour will be taking up a piece of special luggage; a special reel to reel recorder that will play a continuous loop of "Dark Side of the Moon". It will be released while the Soyuz is on the backside of the moon, so that it will forever float amoung debris in outer space.

Hope it's true?

Amusing?! I found it terribly so! In fact, you could probably say that I was amused to death!

This thread has sent my sense of humor into Interstellar Overdrive (shout out, red-baron!).

I haven't had this much fun reading a thread here in a WHILE.

But as for who has a rocket capable of lifting Ol' Dave, it narrows down to Us & Them. Now that The Dogs of War have reached the modern age, they have A New Machine (part 1) to get them there, and A New Machine (part 2) to habitat while in orbit! May God speed his return on a heavenly Pillow of Winds.

This could end up as fodder for Yet Another Movie in Hollywood...

Yep. With just One Slip will be Round and Round to the way we were.

But as of now, it's a Great Day for Freedom.
