Odd parings....

Stratman's comment about his old cat on the Extra Sensory Pet thread got me thinking...What kind of guitar duets would be cool but unlikely... Odd Parings if you will... Or Have they happened and we're just not aware of them

Like this...

I'd love to see Dave Gilmour and Ted Nugent on stage together.. Dueting on the likes of Dogs and Stranglehold.

Or how about reforming Pink Floyd but replace Roger with Les Claypool......

OK...now yours..

How about Chet Atkins and Dimebag Darrell?

I can just see Chet & the Dime trading licks 'n pinch harmonics on "Yesterday Don't Mean Shit".

I'd love to see Prince (weird, but damned good) paired with David and have them duet a favourite song of the other's. Wicked!

I think it would be cool to see Frampton tour with Roger as one of the guitarists... and they could play Pigs and Pete would do the talkbox solo! Ah.... that would be awesome.

- they do have something in common:
Eminem hates women & Elton loves men

I 'd like to see the surviving members of The Who & The Beatles form a new band
any investors??

Hmm...I dunno....Paul and Ringo with Dailtry and Towsend....Too much dynamics....
Then again I could be wrong.
I'd buy their first album...

'Damned Good' is an understatement! Prince in a fabulous guitarist.

If Zappa were still alive, I would like to see him with Eddie Van Halen.

If Jeff Buckley were still alive I'd like to see him and Gilmour trade tunes.

Also...as I've said before...I'd love to see Gilmour and Knopfler do a version of each others songs...or even write a few tunes together (but I wouldn't necessarily call that an "odd" pairing).

Trey Anastasio, the lead guitarist/singer from Phish, and Weird Al.

I'd love to hear Weird Al sing some Phish songs.
