Well, now that that's out of the way, heh...

Is it just me, or do the guys seem kind of...unreal, kind of unconnected to the real world in the non-playing bits? Nattering over dessert, indeed.

I think Live In Pompeii is awesome. This version of Echoes is my favorite recording by Pink Floyd. Plus, in Careful With That Axe, Eugene, Roger screams like a blonde in a horror movie. I love it. Plus I love the cinematography. Sure, it's really campy, but I just love it. Finally, it shows the talent of Nick Mason. I used to think he sucked at the drums before this.

I take it, then, you love Live at Pompeii?

What? You thought what about our beloved Nick? For shame!

Floyd hard!

I think Nick mASON's the best drummer ever!! HE'S much better than someone like Lars Ulrich orthe guy from Limp Bizket!! The drum fill's that he does during "High Hopes" are awesome!!

i love pompeii - its a great film. The best bit, visually, is roger banging the big gong in the suns rays. I do think its a bit drummer heavy tho. Virtually the whole of meddle is one long shot of nick and some of the interviews with him are a tad spinal tappy. Sorry - i realise this is sacreligious of me.

It's cool. They did admit, sometime later, that with hindsight, they could have taken the thing a bit more seriously, interview wise.It has to be said that Nick, however, DOES come across as a bit of a Doofus.

whereas that nice Roger says he doesnt mind what piece of pie he has which just goes to show that he was always perfectly reasonable about absolutely everything.

I don't know about "reasonable". It's actually been quite a while since I watched the thing, but I seem to remember him being ever so slightly argumentative with the interviewer and a just a touch arrogant.

Bless his little bass runs (by proxy).
