i wanted to change the subject. Have y'all seen zabriskie point and doesnt careful/eugene work brilliantly in that? Its my favourite Floyd track anyway (tho i confess to liking animals a great deal) but that film was the perfect vehicle for that toon.

I'm going to change the subject back and address what fixxy said about Roger. IMHO, the reason Rog appeared to be arguementative is only because he felt he was under attack. And his arguements made complete sense to me.

Yep. It does seem that in retrospect, we've seen that type of attitude from Roger in several key stages during his involvement with the band though. I can't particularly regard it as an isolated incident, given some of the things that the rest of the band have had to say on the subject over the years.

Just bringing back another old thread.

Those new to Pink Floyd need to be made aware of this most interesting and enjoyable film.

I'm hoping the DVD of "Live At Pompeii" will indeed be released by this October. It's a must for all fans. Buy It.

Really looking forward to an official DVD, even if the much-hyped special features are crap it will be an extremely worthwhile item for every fan to own.

Sorry to bring the "tone" of the thread down a little...but I'm really not a huge fan of Pompeii.

OK, there are some gems to be found in amongst it all...but a large amoount of it sounds like bollocks to my ears (C'mon...how can you say One of These Days is a patch on DSoT or PULSE...I mean REALLY).

Someone was going to be the villain sooner or later.

How do I explain it?

1. PULSE is weaker than your mother's milk
2. DSOT is even worse

I have no idea how someone could prefer to watch Pompeii over ANY of the other Floyd offerings...DSoT, PULSE, In The Flesh, Dave Gilmour in Concert.

As I said, there are some great moments, but "Best live video ever"?

If masochism is your thing.
