With the clock ticking, I think those candidates who really want to become mods (heaven help them...and us) should probably make their cases here and drum up support, lest we get stuck with a pig in a poke.

I realise there have already been some posts along these lines made elsewhere, but THIS is where the discussion counts, don't you think?

As I have stated in another thread I am proud to call myself a member of this great community. I truly enjoy the company I keep here, and the opportunity to contribute to this great place would be a privlidge.

This forum is unique in that we have a diverse community, both geographically and in age, yet we all share a respect for each other as well as a love of Pink Floyd. (Yes, I even respect Dr Cheese).

Having only had the chance to meet one other member of this community in person (W'Ikky), I was struck with the fact that although I am old enough to be his father, we could speak and communicate as peers. That type of barrier crossing, generational bridging outreach needs to be fostered. If I can assist in the process by being a Mod here, then I feel like I can make a difference in a few folks lives, for the better.

I eagerly await the chance to serve my fellow Flodians.

Sorry to interrupt, gentlemen, but anyway.

I've not got much of a case to make here, but...

If elected I will do my best to uphold the standards that we have here at APFFN. I love posting here, and would like to give back as a way of expressing some of my thanks to all the great people I've met from this place. I just think it's really great that we have somewhere online such as APFFN where people who are so diverse can come together and share common interests as well as have mature (and sometimes not-so-mature) discussions.

I have respect for my fellow members and would, of course, carry that over into moderating duties.

Finally, whatever the results are, I'm really proud to be a member of a place like this.
