A couple of things I've noticed

I apologise if these have already been brought up, or if they are simply temporary matters, but I am wondering if anyone knows what's going on with the following:

--The message-tracking feature on the PM's has either disappeared or I have done something to deactivate it. Could someone tell me which it is, and if I somehow did this to myself, does anyone know how I can fix it?

--Posts from the Dark Side of the Forum do not show up when I search for new posts. They DO show up on "Latest Forum Discussions". Was this intentionally done, or is it a glitch?

Thanks, and I do apologise if this is simply a matter of my own ineptitude.

yes, i noticed the latter, but didn't really mind it so much.

just to tack something on, i've noticed that i can't really change my avatar. not even the stock ones work...whenever i click on the link to the other pages of avatars, it still comes back to the first page. i see it kind of as a mixed blessing, however, as it keeps me from compulsively changing mine.

what is your avatar, anyway?

im sure others would also be interested to know. i see lots of stuff in it, so that in itself is cool enough, but what is it supposed to be?

As per the latter, I believe Paulo didn't want a back door into the Dark Side such that members could post without reading the guidelines. At least that's the direction of discussion when it was being established.

I always thought is was a crazed polar bear, but it turns out it is a Buddhist Monk, afire. (Saigon, 1963)

OK, on the DSotF, that makes sense.

What about the other issue, though, with the PM tracking? Any clue if it's just me, or if others are having a problem?

I'm having that problem, too, FWr.
I just noticed that today.

And I still can't change my avatar, either.

Gerald's assumptions are correct. Dark Side of the Forums post show up on the latest discussions on the main page, but are not available for searching.

Regarding the PM tracking feature, it's now an added bonus for supporting members only. Just a small way to say thanks to them!

About the avatars, yes, that is a glitch with the system that I'll be looking upon. Thanks for the heads up!!
