Re: Pink Floyd on MIR

While glancing through my "Pink Floyd Encyclopedia", I noticed that there was a heading for MIR. It seems that in 1988, one of the cosmonauts brought Delicate Sound of Thunder with him to listen to while he orbited earth. It apparently is still on the MIR, Pink Floyd's contribution to the space program.

Re: Pink Floyd on MIR

Here is your requested tracklisting to Delicate Sound of Thunder:

Disc 1
1. Shine on you Crazy Diamond
2. Learning to Fly
3. Yet Another Movie
4. Round and Round
5. Sorrow
6. The Dogs of War
7. On the Turning Away

Disc 2
1. One of these Days
2. Time
3. Wish You Were Here
4. Us & Them
5. Money
6. Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2
7. Comfortably Numb
8. Run Like Hell

The album is probably one of the worst by Pink Floyd in my opinion. It's very good, but not the way to start your Pink Floyd experience.

Re: Pink Floyd on MIR

Well - i mean "Momentary Lapse of Reason" - i've only heard "Dogs of War" from it but i don't think (and neither does the floyd) that that was a very good album - i think THAT is not the one to start your Pink floyd experience on - because hey - "DSOT" (Delicate Sound of Thunder) has some really good ones aswell.

Just a little Pin prick...

Re: Pink Floyd on MIR

Yeah, Momentary Lapse of Reason wasn't the highlight of Pink Floyd's career. But I think we can agree that neither of these albums are the way to start your experience.
