What songs/albums are the best in terms of Dave's guitar work?

I was listening to AMLOR today, and got to thinking that actually a lot of Dave's best actual guitar work (not just solos, or entire songs) comes from the too albums in which Roger isn't present, when he had creative control within the band. I mean for me, Sorrow, On the Turning Away, High Hopes, Coming Back to Life are all among Dave's best guitar songs ever. Just wondering what you all thought...

Mother! You should know better.... In one way, shape, or form we have discussed this to death on Gawd knows how many other threads,,,,,

That being said...
I was listening to David Gilmour (1st solo record) yesterday and noticing many phrasings and four or eigh bar sets that are earlier, rougher lines heard in later songs. Kind of like wittnessing the evolution of ideas, almost as though he was trying them on for size, if you will. Raise My Rent grew up to become Marooned. Some of the basic chord changes in Mihalis show up in Take it Back. Many short phrases in Cry From the Street, I Can't Breathe Anymore, So far Away and Short and Sweet show up in various laces on both AMLoR and TDB.

Personally I think, as wonderful as SOYCD is, as spectacular as the solos in Dogs are, as great as CN is... I think the single solo that shows Dave's complete range, from subtle to balls out rocking is Coming Back to Life..

I've always liked Dave's guitar work on AMLOR.

What Fulg says about "Coming Back to Life" is true...It's has the best overall guitar solo on the album.

I'm fond of the acoustic guitar work on "Lost For Words", too. Especially the outro solo....wish it was longer....

Sorry, perhaps I should make what I am actually trying to discuss clearer. I am speaking purely from a guitarists point of view. Perhaps it would have been better if I had asked which PF albums are great "guitar" albums.

I did try searching, but felt that what I was trying to ask had a different slant to the threads I found...

From that anglle I'd have to go with (in no particular order)

The Division Bell (Coming back to life, High Hopes, Marooned)
Animals (dogs, Sheep TDO)
WYWH (SOYCD, WYWH)
David Gilmour (Raise My Rent, Mihalis, Theres No way Out of Here)

Thoes would be my picks.

I probably like Dave's guitar work on DSOTM best. After that, WYWH ('Shine On...' and 'Have a Cigar' have fine solos).

Also, Dave's guitar work on OBC is often overlooked. Good examples include the solo on 'The Gold It's in The...' and the acoustic work on 'Wot's.... Uh, the Deal', among others.
