althougth sgt. peppers was much more poular as far as mainstream went i think piper start a lot a space and psycadelic rock movement it was ORIGINAL pink floyd are innovators sgt.peppers is still a great album tho

I'm gonna have to go with Sgt. Pepper's due to the fact it has a significantly higher amount of sitar and tamboura than Piper.

I voted for Sgt. Pepper's (like a 9.3 or 9.4/10) over Piper (8.5/10).

Floyd > Beatles
Sgt. Pepper's > Piper

Though both have better albums.

Oh yeah, I don't really consider Sgt. Pepper's to be psychedelic. Really, what songs on it are psychedelic besides Lucy and Within You, Without You? I suppose possibly Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite and A Day In The Life. But even that's still only 5 songs out of 13. Now Piper and the Stone's "Their Satanic Majesties Request" which was also released in '67 are psychedelic.

this was a hard choice. john's songs on pepper are so, so great. but i don't like a couple of paul's very much, so i went with piper becaue i like every song on the album.
