| West Nile Virus This disease has run rampant throughout texas and i think the rest of the US, and i almost got it. It has been pretty prevalent in my area which is why i thank God i am alive. I was outside for a long time a couple weeks ago and got approx. 50-60 mosquito bites. The incubation period is over, and i don't have west nile!! It was pretty much a 1 in 50 chance that i didn't get it and i am so thankful. Well, just thought i'd share that with ya.  |

| Re: West Nile Virus I think I read somewhere that the youngest person to die from west nile in 2003 was 62 years old. It's pretty much only fatal if you are really old. I still wouldn't want to get west nile but I think the media is blowing things a little out of proportion. If you were to get it I think it would be like having mono or something which would still stuck (but not kill you.) I think SARS is more dangerous.

| Re: West Nile Virus but even SARS is kind of a crap disease. We don't have any quality diseases left running a muck like back in the day. Ebola, the plague, now those were diseases! the media is good at scaring people to death. |

| Re: West Nile Virus My art professior for Landscape painting was ranting about West Nile and how we should paint about death and gloom because we were painting near a river and he was all paranoid about it. My Teacher is a real bad-ass. Boggess Shrooms!!((Only Fairjess will get that last quote))
