gotta admit, that i'm a little bit confused, some times it seems to me that these forums are abused.

Re: Animals....Not Submerged

albatross, since i wanted to get your post in the "roger waters" section back about "Amused to Death", i didn't address your comment like the above.

Please go to the "General" Section and the "Let's Stay on Topic Folks" thread.

As you will see, many (and I) think it's healthy to venture off into different Floydian discussions while on a different topic.

However, in that post i expressed that we should TRY to GENERALLY stay on the same topic.
Also, I try to let things flow ( which are more or less my ‘orders’ and i haven't ever really interrupted discussions, except once - but i won't get into that).

So if we get off topic and start joking around - hey we're a community here, not some students, we need that sort of interaction.

Anyway, generally we tend to almost always get back on topic after some joking (which is also why It doesn’t really hurt).

Thank you,
Charade I Am
Patrick

So, speaking of Charade's original statement ...

Remember that Rog wrote all the lyrics and most of the music (The exception would be "Dogs", Dave wrote the beginning guitar bit and the wild, amazing, transcendent solos)

Thanks man
..for getting us back on topic.

Yea I realize that, but I just think the playing was less waters driven.

Re: Animals....Not Submerged

I honestly laugh everytime I hear people (radiochair) comparing ANIMALS, to George Orwell's 'Animal Farm'. They have NOTHING to do with eachother in a litteral, or symbolic way...You might as well say that the movie BABE (about a pig) is closely related to ANIMALS....Read the book before you go off and compare it ANIMALS.

I've read ANIMAL FARM 4 times--It's Orwells comment on the wars that were going on at that time. I never knew ANIMALS had to do with war?

Re: Animals....Not Submerged

I've read it at least ten times, buddy boy. And Animal Farm is about Communism, and the roles that the people play in it. Hence, the sheep are the weak ones... and the pigs are the strong ones...

Hmm... I do wonder what album this is sounding like...

Re: Animals....Not Submerged

Animal Farm is far too complex to try to figure out it's real meaning, but the one that you provided still weakly suggests that it has anything to do with animals. You can compare anything to Animal Farm if you really TRY too, not with strong sopport, but you can with thin similarities.
Lets not let this turn into the ODV-SHANE argument #2
