Brand new album by The Who to be recorded!

The thread name says it all. Pete Townshend's going to finish demoing all his tracks by the end of the year (probably to be released on Scoop 4 or something, if anyone knows what I'm talking about), and then Roger and Pete will record in March 2004. A U.S./U.K. tour is planned for 2005. The album is planned to be called The Boy Who Heard Music, so it will be another one of those rock opera stories most likely. Here's a tentative synopsis Pete posted on his website a while ago and took off a little later:
My story is called The Boy Who Heard Music. It is about one boy who finds a way to get through the door.

I begin this project as a novel. I have it roughed out and will finish it during the first six months of 2002. When published it will form a creative adjunct to the first part of my completed autobiography. It will interrupt my autobiography. The story is about music, and contains music, and I will produce music as I work every day on the book. The music will be released on a CD or two at the same time as the book. I am going to document the recording sessions on video, some of which should be especially interesting
as they will form part of the Lifehouse Method experiment.

Here is the pitch...........

Three British children - two boys and a girl from different religious backgrounds - find each other. Gabriel can hear music. Josh can hear voices. Leyla can fly. They grow up and form a rock band together. They become famous and powerful. They marry, torture, love and fight each other. In the process they show the world the real truth behind rock 'n' roll. Together, they work a miracle.

Pretentious? Self-obsessed? Grandiose? Pompous?

I hope so.

Go to www.thewho.net/news if you don't believe me. The official Pete Townshend site says so!

I'm not saying it's not true, I'm just saying the whole concept sounds shite.

Well, hopefully it's been a little revised after a year. But considering what concepts he's done in the past, it's going to be vague, confusing, pompous, and a rocking and rollicking good time!

Well, he's got nothing much else to do, so he's might as well do a new album, whether it'll be good or not, it's another opportunity to see them live, even though they'll be playing new songs off their shite album.

yeah, as much as i love Pete, I don't think he ever quite recovered from the nervous breakdown via Lifehouse flop.

and what does all this have to do with kiddy porn exactly?

as far as i understood it he was perusing about internet sites to research his book. you say that he's writing his autobiography in conjunction with the album, therefore i assumed it was the said researched book.
