Arnold Layne Video

I saw a music video for arnold layne while watching VH1 Classic a few nights ago. It was mostly footage of the band on the beach i believe, fooling around with a mannequin. I had never seen this footage before, and was wondering where it came from, and if there is much early footage of the band floating around out there.

Re: Arnold Layne Video

It was a promo film shot for the single. The precursor to today's music videos. There are some other videos they play on VH1 Classics. The Mr. Screen footage of Welcome to the Machine comes to mind.

Dr. Strange, I believe it was Blue Light, from About Face. I haven't seen the video, though, so I can't be completely sure.

I've downloaded that video from WinMX, but it didn't say what the original source was.

Re: Arnold Layne Video

Does anyone know if more 'Abbey Road' footage like what can be seen at the end of the Pompei video exists? There's got to be footage in a vault somewhere. Any good resources out there for quality bootleg or official material?

Re: Arnold Layne Video

Those 'cafe' scenes were done in EMI Abbey Road's canteen, or eatery. And, of course, the studio scenes were done in Abbey Road's studio 3.

Re: Arnold Layne Video

Seamus, your right, they only do show stills, in the background of the set, included in those stills is bits of footage from the AL video.
