Whalesong? At the end of Echoes, Would that be actual whalesong or meant to be a intonation of it? Where can I find the answer?

Hmmm...tricky. I couldn't say for sure, but at a guess, both...maybe. I always imagined boogying whales in the funky middle bit. For further interesting discussion on the track itself, have a look at these threads (assuming you haven't already found them yourself via SEARCH): Meaning behind ECHOES? echoes the song

The post you led me was great. I didn't know there were other lyrics. And where can I get a hold of one of those PINK FLOYD ENCYCLOPEDIAS.

Barnes & Noble, amazon.com or any reputable bookseller. Warning: there ARE some errors, so don't take everything in it as total truth.

oh yeah, and that whale-sound near the middle/end of 'echoes' is just a crybaby guitar pedal plugged in backwards, with added compression and delay pedals. very fun. i do think thats the same thing youre speaking of, right? the high squealing sound effects...?

Yeah! That's exactly what I meant. Other animal sound effects were recordings, and I was thinking that this one was a guitar. It does sound fun. Thanks
