-boy of omega-
She took a look at me like I was high ruler of a holy war. The tears have all dried up. There are no answers to what I have become. No one left to pave this road of unthoughtful and undeniable truth and reason. She understood what I created and left me hanging on for words unspoken. My wings are beaten and rarely can I fly. My days are over. Lets begin.
-----
I wrote this after a sketch I drew the same night I wrote the poem about the girl, only later. It was of a boy that looks like me, completely blank face, beaten up clothes, and he has angel wings. They are in rough shape. He has definately been down a hard road. And I think he's thinking about a girl, because, this is usually the only thing that makes me sad. So thats where the girl in the poem comes in. She is his life. She is gone. Start over.

You seem to be able to write in quite a few different styles Seamus. You're a bit more abstract than me...but a bit moreclever too I think. I can only write with a beat in mind. Gets a bit restrictive after a while.

Maybe I'll just let fly and write what I want sometime soon. do away with the whole rhyming, rhythm thing.

My ears burnt with this new revelation,
of deeds you have done to this day.
My temper soared, my wits took their leave,
And rage held me in it's darkened sway.

Does the breaking of hearts complete you
Does the destruction of love make you smile?
And when the desperate of souls come beseech you,
You like to f*** with their minds for a while?

You've made yourself glad from their loss,
You engorge on the spoils of despair,
But when you've nailed your last man to the cross,
I'll be standing free, and aloof of your snare.

Another heart down,
Many more to go.
Another soul ground,
Into deathly black snow,
Another one lost,
to the shedding of tears,
Another man wiser,
To the passing of years...

When the slope of your life becomes steeper,
When you're older, less desirable to bed,
You'll realize; still water runs deeper,
And your heart was not gold, it was lead.

Guys (and gals) this is some great stuff. No wonder Floyd's one of the greatest bands, if they can have their fans write stuff like this.

Awesome Freud - awesome.

Driven, here's what you do. Get into a mindstate that there is nothing. And I mean NOTHING. Desolation. Silence. No objects. No distractions. Just you and your writing tools. Think of somehthing that has happend in your life or even something ficticious. Just write. You'll get it. I've got alot of stuff coming up soon on here. Later.

Mist coming in here it comes watch it cancel the sight,
What do you do when you find yourself lost at the fall of night,

Looking for lullabye lost,

Ship in a storm doesn't know why it sailed from its home,
Promise of treasure and trade lost in wish to survive,

Looking for lullaby lost,

Watching your shoes do they know more than you where to go,
Frightened you turn them around but they don't know the way,

Looking for lullaby lost,

Watching the play and performers up there on the stage,
Stuck in a crowd with no interest you're locked in a cage,
Nothing to see,
Wanting to feel,
Seeking a place,
That has nothing to fear,
Collapsed in a heap with a bottle of beer,

Looking for lullaby lost.

-stuck in a shadow-
moonlight and dead frozen land
shadows fall into cold hands
we bring lost souls in numbers inline
to the tomb of midnight resting
bring me into the retched land of black
fornicate my life to an oblivious state
in desolate hands I cry to the fire
my blood ran dry as I watched the sky fall
inward it collapses into the pit of dispair
we welcome this poverty with open arms
forward we fall onto cold dead soil
our hopes and dreams shattered
by false promises never coming through
as the morning shattered the purple sky
I watched the fire go up in smoke
nothing left but ashes and gloom
in our tomb there is no rest.

Do we really need Pink Floyd to reunite? You guys should get a band together! Or at least tell Dave Gilmour what your secret is.... he needs all the help he can muster!

You would be quite welcome in the band too Freud! Unfortunatley I don't know who could pull off the guitar playing part of things (at least not like Dave). And then there's the fact that we live in different parts of the world.

But I agree, there has been some really good stuff here.

I can pull off a few more than three, but there's still a rather large gap between myself and Gilmour. It seems we might have a band full of Roger Waters wannabes!!!

Most of David's stuff has been pretty easy to learn. Its really blues influienced. But its his sound that I just cant master. He's got more money to spend on it than I do! But someday.....someday....

Well maybe we got a guitar player then. Looks like me and "three chords cliff" are going to be fighting over the "bass playing stomping around and scowling" job.

Roger Waters Audition #1

"OH FOR f***'S SAKE STOP LETTING OFF FIREWORKS AND SCREAMING AND STUFF!!!
I mean I don't care! If you don't want to listen to it........ f*** you, I'm sure there are people who DO want to hear it... so why don't you just be quiet and if you want to shout and scream go outside and do it, and if you want to let off fireworks go and do it out there... but I'm trying to sing a song that some people want to listen to.......... I want to listen to it...... "

How was that?? Now all I have to do is get a bass guitar....
