I thought I was sad, Until I was happy
I tought I was dead, turned out I was silly

I climbed out the hill
fell all of the stairs
everybody laughed
thought I was the jester

I thought I was down, Until I was up
I tought I was up, Until I fell Down
I Climbed all the stairs
and The eyes in my had Sees the world spins
around around

Words by Yoav wasserman - the archer

Ya sound a bit like the fool on the hill.
I wish my part of the world had more hills.

Wot is this really the game?
You think i don't feel the shame?
...ya know that derives from this
cumpolsirary pain.

And i'll try and eat 'em alive
'cause i know why THEY thrive
To eliminate tho pride and ominous institutions
But i swear when i become learned i'll
set fire to these illusions
And sure enough i'll be alone
on the Path of Secondary Man.

Whatever other path is there?

Roses are red,
violets are blue,
sugar is sweet,
and so are you!

I think I've beaten everyone else so far for the best poem.

Witness the horror scene.
A child. Age was like twelve ot thirteen.
Didn't have the chance in life to follow dreams.
Went through lust, envy, hate, and hardness.
Why did life treat him like this.
Its called Betrayal.

Its called Betrayel.

Lucifer Sam...that makes quite a point, what you've written. And to the _archer (though I don't believe I've seen him since I joined this board, unless it was once or twice at the beginning...where is he, anyway?), you certainly got this thread off to a wonderful start.

What did you say
When the Towers of Trade
Were torn from their place
in the sky?
And What did you say
When the bodies Rained down
And they Traded
In sorrow and Pain?

What are we going to do now?
How do we forget our anger and grow?
Tell me and then we'll both know.

What did you do
When you finally knew
Your first Love was only
A dream?
And what did you do
When they revealed to you
That your second and third ones
Were too?

What did you tell yourself then?
How did you know you might still find a gem?
Tell me 'cause I want one too.

Work in progress.....

And the planes in the sky
tore a hole in the heavens
Took a cracks in he sky
broke a crack in the towers
that fell like a tower of cards
and the people have died
their Spirits flown to the garden in Eden
were the rivers of tigris & Euphrates,
Kishon & Pishon,
Irrigated the fields of the people of the world
and a thousand angels cried
and a 100 Griffins wiped
till the tears of the angels turned into rain,
that filled the empty sea of Galilee- the Kineret,
with holy water - the water of life and true pain, that comes with LOVE, comes from the Heart.

My God, archer, this is truly powerful writing. I'm afraid it is often difficult to express myself when I am talking about the work of others and how it affects me, but I will tell you this: Always keep writing poetry--you have the gift.

Thanks man,
I actually wrote 20 or 30 poems like this in Hebrew last year(Obviously couldn't Post THEM).
But It Took me a while before I could express myself fully in English in means of poetry.
U C , English is NOT my Mother Tongue, Though I speak, Read and write this Language very well,
for a non English Dude.

anyway, thnks again for the Feedback.

Cheers...

and may you reign like the Olive Tree, which is Long living, and Grow Higher and Higher,
and may the Lumber Jack never come near you

But your mastery of English is quite amazing.

You are fluent in a language when you can express all of your day-to-day thoughts in it--but you have mastered a language when you can do all of this and also know how to do it beautifully.

"JEWEL OF MOTHER QUEEN"

fortune of freaks
make me speak
walk to the river
get the point

tell a story
for you have mind to stay
let us hear your thought
turn on a light

jewel of a queen
what have i seen
i know what i mean
mother queen

streams of angel hair
running through streets like mist
serpentine dreams of you
mushroom green you see what i mean

jewel of a queen
what have you seen
you know what i mean
mother queen, keep me a dream

seas of green, you know what i mean.

"CLOUD AT MY HEELS"

glass ball
is it real
stepping stones
at my heel

breaking news
fuels the fire
in the cirrus
take you higher

son of jan
dont you know
chase a flower
steal the sun

find a hole
and bury a dream
crash a mirror
13 for me

in the cirrus
take you higher.

I wrote this poem and "Jewel of Mother Queen" in early Dec. '01 in a restuarant on a cold shady winter day. I had been up for hours writing songs and "like a fire I felt inspired". Hope you enjoy.

VERY impressive seamus. I like a lot. Reminds of something I wrote...but not as good as yours:

A GAP IN A DREAM

Welcome to the world
I have created for man
You're not supposed to be here
But I guess you can
Take a look around you
Can you feel the quietness
Don't feel alone embrace
The feeling that you're home

A gap, In a Dream,
Is where you came from,
You're going back,
A gap, In a Dream,
Is Where you came from.

Lady mist is calling home,
The coldness in your soul,
And now you're free to be,
As free as you were meant to be,
Wander through my world,
That seems to float apon the sky,
I know you're not afraid,
'Cause this is what you are

A gap, In a Dream,
Is Where you came from,
You're going back,
A gap, in a Dream,
Is where you came from

Now it's time You went back through,
The gap that's in your dream,
You'll never see or be,
Inside this perfect world again,
I will not forget you,
Or your footprints on my world,
Just as you will not forget me,
Or the hole now in your soul

I gap, In a Dream,
I where you came from,
A gap, In a Dream,
Is where you came from

Inspired by a dream I had a long long time ago.
