NICK'S DRUMS. ::ATTN:: Need a few ? answered

If anyone could please tell me the drum sizes nick was using in the early 70s. The particular set I was trying to get was the one he uses in Pompeii, a silver sparkle, 2 bass drums 2 racks and floors. I know his depths on his rack toms are quite small but I was wondering if anyone knows the percise measurements.

Hey...I may be able to help. I am not a drummer, so I can't vouch for whether or not this information is perfectly accurate, but even though this does not have precise measurements, it may give you a jumping-off point...

Please let me know if this list seems reasonable to you. I hope it gives you a good start!

Hmm, this is a stumper. I know the sizes are in the PFE (Pink Floyd Encyclopedia), but my handy copy seems to have gone missing.

I'm pretty sure those are 22"s, and they are very powerful. I doubt he used little (if any) muffling on them.

Well, there are standard sizes. I can't remember if the snare he used was chrome or wood, but more than likely it was 5 or 5-1/2" by 14". Two floor toms were probably 14"X14" and 16"X16". The rack toms are odd sizes, but common for Ludwigs of the time. I can't remember the probable sizes.

That's an awesome kit, though. I wonder how much it would cost to re-create it.
