 Do You Think That Dreamtheater Could Be The Next Pink Floyd? THEY HAVE MADE SOME TRIBUTED SONGS FROM PINK FLOYD AND TO BE HONEST I THINK THIS COULD BE IT....THE REPLACEMENT BAND FOR PF SINCE THEY ARE NOT RELEASING ANY NEW MATERIAL , WHAT DO YOU THINK GUYS MAYBE IM WRONG GIVE ME SOME FEED BACK...ON THIS MATTER   |

I think, more or less, that when someone says 'X could very well be the next Y,' they aren't speaking in terms of sound, as such, but more in terms of similar themes, ideas, innovations, and impact. Thus Eminem could well be the next Elivs, as a white guy making hugely popular a form of music created by black artists, and as a successful pop musician also beginning a successful movie career (as well as causing a lot of controversy)-- although the two sound nothing alike.
