Sumday - Grandaddy, and North Atlantic Drift - Ocean Colour Scene were both great releases of 2003.

I thought Hail to the Thief was one of the worst albums I've heard for a long time.

The Chilis' By The Way is pretty good too (which makes it two albums from 2003, or was that 2002, I can't remember), The Foos album is good too, and there are a few other good albums, but in general it was fairly poor
