Google really is useless when you want important information like this.

The thing is, even though Rog did write the lyrics, and he does in fact have ownership of the song ( to be fair to Rog, he did try and give everyone at least one song) he didn't write the music, did he?

Not sure...he may well have some responsibility for the music on this one. But, I can't be completely sure.

Perhaps, the bass line is very dominate, but the man isn't that good of a musician, he couldn't possibly have written the drum bit, or Rick's stuff, and definitely not Dave's work.

Even so, the credit on the song only says Roger Waters, so regardless of what work other people did, they waived their credit by letting his name be the only one on the song.

I understand that, I am saying, why would they give him credit?

Buongiorno, Notte

Saw "Good Morning, Night" (Buongiorno, Notte) at the London Film Festival yesterday, there's another showing in a few hours... hurry!

http://www.lff.org.uk/films_details.php?FilmID=101

A true story - 4 members of the "Red Brigade" kidknap a politician, but when this doesn't cause significant change, they decide to execute him. Then the in-fighting begins.

It's pretty good, but does get a little dull in places. And the Floyd music? "Shine on part 1" (first 2 mins) is used a couple of times to good effect as the characters mope around their gloomy flat, and "Great Gig In The Sky" kicks in at one point and packs an emotional wallop.

Worth checking out for Floyd fans. Ironicly it's set in 1978 - a year when Floyd did absolutley nothing!

The music is liceinsed from the Italian record labels, presumably bypassing asking the band themselves for permission??
