i love them
im not a big corgan fan though. i dislike his attitude towards rock music. he said he quit because britney killed rockn roll...thats just his way of saying he cant keep up with pop anymore
i mean im kinda glad that they broke up since they left only good material and songs, and thats cool

i wasnt crazy about zwan i own a promo copy but i dont find it too original and compared to smashing pumpkins its not worth it

i met the smashing pumpkins back in the Adore time and they were all super nice except billy corgan who played the rock star and didnt even look at people. i kinda understand him, it must be annoying

i love SOMA, i love the lyrics and after reading the book SOMA i kinda get where the lyrics come from...if they are related in any way

i love the 90s...i love that the smashing pumpkins fit perfectly into the 90s and i wish more bands would come out with songs as great as them

...SOMA...I quietly sang that song while my daughter was born...(getting emotional here)...awesome f*cking song...awesome album...awesome era...enough "awesomes", right???

...please forgive me for blatantly plugging Mary Star of the Sea, but I can't help but think of Floyd when I hear certain Pumpkin/Corgan material...the title song was made together with Jesus,I...a 19th century hymn that Corgan adapted(he bought the rights to a large number of old church hymns) making the whole cut over 14 minutes long...so Floydian...did you know that before the break up, a movie similar to "The Wall" was in the works???

...if you care...check out BillyCorgan.com...billy-corgan.com...

I've been listening to them a whole lot lately.
I burned Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness for this girl that I kinda dig and she loves it. First I sent her XYU and she loved it because she was pissed at her parents or something. She really identifies with Billy Corgans brand of sadness/anger hah. But yeah, they're great.

Re: Smashing Pumpkins

I LOVE THE PUMPKINS! They are truely one of my alltime favourite bands. Zwan is ok, but something was lost I think. My favourite cd is Adore. Some of the best music and lyrics I've ever heard. Not that I get most of the poetry on there, but it still rocks. Nice cd to listen to when your in one of those reel depressed moods.

For no good reason at all, hidden in the ground plane of a circuit card I designed recently, are the words "despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage".

You're responsible or someone else?

I saw a Billy Corgan (solo) video the other day and I don't like it very much at all, but I love the Smashing Pumpkins.

Oh, I did it... It's a proof of authenticity thing. This device is used to communicate with ground radar at airports, so there has to be a way for the FAA to determine whether a part is authentic or a cheap knock-off.

I just didn't have any real reason to use that lyric, it just popped into my head at the time.
