School of Rock

See this movie today, if you believe in rock n' roll! Or download it or pay that guy on the internet 5 bucks to burn it on DVD for ya or buy it off Ebay, but see it ASAP! It's awesome! That is all.

Yea, it looks pretty good. They performed live on Leno last week, pretty impressive.

Looked OK. Jack Black always struck me the wrong way.

Re: School of Rock

I'm shameless enough to admit I am a fan of the reliably funny Mr. Black's. I really anticipate this movie. It seems like my kind of thing. I hope it isn't a huge disappointment. I haven't seen a good comedy in quite some time. "American Wedding" was a dud, "National Security" wasn't funny at all, and...aside from that, I'm afraid I don't get around much.

I saw school of rock, pretty funny, kinda corny. Had some good music in it, and a Darkside reference

Re: School of Rock

Anyone heard the first original version of Tribute? You can hear little bits of Stairway to Heaven in the background!

Re: School of Rock

Wait a minute. Someone expected National Security to be funny?

Heh, anyways. I'm a fan of Jack Black. He's one of the very few modern stars for which I have any respect. And he fights for rock music at every chance he gets. But, he has been in some really dumb movies (ie Orange County).

Actually, I viewed it with a pretty bad attitude. It didn't make me laugh out loud a single time. Actually, I wanted to get up and leave halfway through, but for whatever reason, I endured it.

Actually, I thought Orange County was pleasantly mediocre. Just IMO.

Re: School of Rock

I saw it last night and though it kinda blew. Jack Black is a funny man in himself, but the movie was pretty shit. kind of makes me disappointed in Richard Linklater, you know, because I'm sure he values my opinion and all.

If you want a laugh, I recommend Freddy vs. Jason. Fun for the family.
