Albatross, I know what you are talking about, our local classic rock station recently switched to oldies, which in a way is good cause they play the doors a lot more than they used to. One of the boldest things they ever did was play Set The Controls... I was in heaven

That is bold! And awesome!

I wish our radio stations (Detroit, Mi.) Would stop playing all this "motown" stuff - and more Floyd!!

Ahh well.

Isn't it amazing how, when they play Floyd on the radio, even if you own the recording and/or have heard the song 300 times, you still drop what you're doing and listen to it? I like that.

Hi again, Floyd fans:
I must agree that WYWH is one of Pink Floyd's fundamental master pieces. Actually, I bought the special 25th. anniversary edition some four months ago, and keep listening to it every now and then. The music is phenomenal, almost as if the Floyd were struck by lightning, or by some divine inspiration when they made it. It's relaxing, soul fulfilling, peace and love stimulating, and so on, and on ,and on!
Just for curiosity sake, could anyone tell me how many copies has this album sold worldwide?
Take care:
Pedro Medeiros

absolutely perceive. Even if its 'money' or 'comfortably numb' (the radio station favorites) I will sit in my car and be late for class just to hear the end of it despite the fact that i could pull the same song from my cd case.

Thanx for your input anyway, Not Now John. Ultimately, what's important about the album is that it's quintessential Pink Floyd, and therefore beautiful to listen to, and extremely moving!

Bugger, I'll hazard a guess at 10-12 mil. I found the figures somewhere and I can't for the life of me remember, but that's my uneducated guess.

I think WYWH is one of their best albums, but my personal favourite is Atom Heart Mother cause it's very not-commercial and very different from other albums. They experimented a lot on it and I think it's a super album.
Anyway, I think WYWH is a lot better, musically speaking, than Dark Side.
