I highly prefer ITAOT. The room to improvise really benefits the CD...both Rick Wright and Nick Mason in particular have a greater influence. Even with all that was going on, ITAOT is much more of a collaborative band effort in my opinion, whereas I felt the others were very much held back on the studio original. In terms of general sound quality, The Wall is probably superior, but I don't mind the roughness on ITAOT because the musicality is there.

I like more ITAOT. It sounds more powerfull and more free that The Wall, i think.

Definately ITAOT. I miss Rick Wright's input on the studio album. He has greater impact on the stage show. I think his contributions to the Pink Floyd sound were essential, too bad he's underrated by a lot of people. I really like the version of "Run Like Hell" on ITAOT. It's a little longer and and a bit funkier. I believe they kinda jam a bit on it as well.

Nick Mason also gets to show off a bit on "Run Like Hell", especially during that chaotic section. In a way, it reminds me of the "Syncopated Pandemonium" section of "A Saucerful of Secrets".

Definitely ITAOT?, I think. Even though they were coming to the end of their time as a foursome, they sonded great. Just little bits like the extra guitar solo on Mother makes it superior. IMO blah blah.

the wall by far. by it being a studio album, every note and tune is pre-thoght. that is how they planned it to be, i think i live the wall

When re-arranging the words in someone else's post to comedic effect you're supposed to use the words that were actually there in the first place. Idiot!

Is everyone sure that all of "Nick and Rick's" wonderful contributions to the live album are actually Nick and Rick? Don't forget that Peter Wood and Willie Wilson were also playing on each and every song, as well.
