I don't think Money is self-righteous. It's satirical (although you wouldn't think so, the way Dave sings it), but I don't think it sticks out in terms of the album's theme or mood. It's all about the lust for money driving you mad.

And rockin out.

First of all nothing on DSOM is "shit". That album is one of the greatest albums in the history of rock. It may not be my favourite song on that album, but it sounds great and fits in perfectly.

As much as I hate to say anything from the Floyd is shit, if I had to I would say San Tropez and Seamus would be two songs I would have no problem mentioning in the same sentence as "shit".

Dogs of War would be close as well.

I don't believe anything of Floyd is crap. It's just a matter of least favorite because I do like all of Floyds stuff but there's just songs I prefer more than others. Money is one of the most recognizable songs ever! Everytime it's on the radio, you see people singing it (if you're at work), or people cranking it in their car stereo.

Cheers

Sorry Vera- some floyd is abysmal shit. That's just the fact of the matter.

What has become of you?

It's true that there are some songs in the PF canon that really aren't particularly 'brilliant', per se. However, if taken in context of the original album 'flow', there inclusion, more often than not, tends to become valid. Even Seamus brings light (and brief) respite before 'Echoes'.

Thank you, Bride of a Bull. I very much enjoy 'Maisie' incidentally.

This coming from a poster with a very obviously gay bear, apparently sweating to the oldies with his hero Richard Simmons as their avatar.
