It does fit in the album,darkside of the moon is a concept album about fear and maddness so I think it fit in well with the context of the album

Money bitches about how money brings out the worst in everyone. Money is one of the most played songs on the radio of all time. Money made a lot of people a lot of money, which brought out the worst in a lot of people.

It's all just a little too ironic for me.
