Only read the first page of posts and a few others as there is a lot, and forgive me if im wrong, but on a DSOTM tv programme. Did it not have Roger or someone saying money was written to help PF conquer the US. Either way i dont think it matters, its a decent song that gets a nice rhythem going, even if it isnt their finest.

i'm 18 too, and i play bass and yes, its an amazing, complicated song, but its sooo fun to play. and yes, i can see every reason why it gets standing ovations at the concerts.

i really enjoy money. it has the longest, best guitar solo on the album. and you need the register noises at the beginning if you are watching it with the wizard of oz

Rubbish? That song is quite good. Not one of my favorites on the album, but not my least favorite either. The song is very accurate at describing what was happening to Floyd at the time, they were faiing into all of this money because(if anyone here can believe it) they were a success before this album was released. the song definitely isn't rubbish, though.

MONEY IS NOT RUBBISH!!!! It's a great song, with an incredible use of bass. I love it as I love most of Pink Floyd songs.

I really don't think I could go as far as to call a Pink Floyd song rubbish. Sure, there are some songs that are hard to listen to, but any song recorded by this group is amazing and unique in it's own way. No, no, no, I've never heard any rubbish from the Floyd Machine.

The thing I love about Money is that when I first heard it on the radio and other places, I thought it was a song praising money, and then when I actually listen to the lyrics it's saying the opposite. I love songs that do that.

I'd always thought Clive was a bit odd, but when I found him hanging from a noose from the ceiling, I stopped talking to him....

It does seem a little out of place at first but i believe that all of the saxaphone and the guitar solos tie it in with that floyd sound, and sort of keep it with the flow of the album. And as one thousand people said before, that bassline is really good.

If Money wasn't on Dark Side the album just wouldn't make sense, it wouldn't be complete, don't you see? Time=Money, Your rabbit on the run, ect. The whole concept is based around time and money just another element of that.

The bassline IS very good, and it is the first one I learned how to play. It's a rather simple riff, but it sounds so damn good.

i think it fits in perfectly well almost its a great song but is a little different but if pink floyd has to do with this then its gotta work out perfectly
