I'm not going to read the whole thread, but Money IS one of the hardest rocking songs ever written. When the guitar solo kicks in, it's just pure energy. GREAT song.

money is a great song. i say if you dont like a song, dont listen to it then. i have yet to come across a song i dont like by pink floyd. (some of the stuff on the wall is tolerable because it helps with the concept of the album). so ill keep listening, not complaining.

Re: Isn't "Money" just a load of Rubbish?

We all know, well most of us, that the song Money is great; but what about the voices at the end of the song, right before Us & Them??
"Cruisin for a bruisin" and "I dunno, I was really drunk at the time"

Those phrases make me laugh everytime I hear them.

Re: Isn't "Money" just a load of Rubbish?

has it been said?

despete the single-ness of the song and the poppy sing along quality it has, I listen to DSotM everyday at work and I find myself listening to money more than any other song on it

plus if you listen to all the different things going on, it's really an amazing song to listen to, not to mention the solo is out of this world.

You misconstrue. I was attempting to highlight the idea that the thread had "gone rubbish" much longer ago than tore's post.

Re: Isn't "Money" just a load of Rubbish?

I had never heard Money before I bought DSOTM. When first listening to it, I never thought "Hey, this song sucks. It does not fit in.". Not for a nanosecond.
Money is a great song, IMO. And taste of music must be the most subjective thing ever.

Right stop this, stop this. What a silly way to carry on.

I have the live version from 1972. Live it sounds even harder.
