Too bad The Who couldn't have depth like that.

The Who rule how could anybody say they have no depth listen to Tommy or perhaps even quadrophenia. Those are albums with very much depth. Especially Tommy, that is just a musical masterpiece. Saying a band with an album like that has no depth is just total bullshit.

It's definitely The Who for me. They are my favorite band of all time. While I do like some songs and the first album by Led Zeppelin very much, I think Zep's music got boring and repetitive quite quickly. I own all but one of The Who's albums and like some if not all the songs on every one of them. I also thought all the members were great in their own way. I also love Townshend's writing. It's so introspective.

The WHO are an overrated piece of shit. Led Zep are one of the best bands ever.

Right, like Led Zep was never overrated. And speaking of shit, for all the crazy stuff Moon did, at least he never took a shit in a groupie's shoe.

led zeppelin are the ones that are being overrated, Page is probably the most overrated guitar player ever. Townshend is not a great guitar player. But his songwritng is amazing. Just listen to Tommy or Quadrophenia.

Plant had some kick ass lyrics once in a while. At least he never worked with David effin' Coverdale. But I'm with you on Page's talent. He definitely was good at what he did.

Ding ding ding... That's why Page worked with him at all... He was really interested in getting back with Plant, but Plant declined.

These 2 bands are so closely intertwined that it is almost immpossible to choose between them. In fact Keith Moon and John Entwistle were almost apart of the Led Zep project before they bowed out and allowed 2 other musical geniuses to step in and take over. If i had to choose, i would take zep. I prefer the more bluesy tone to zep's music. But these 2 bands are the reason most rock artists even picked up a guitar or grabbed a set of drums. Also, i believe that zep is the beginning of what is heavy metal while the who introduced punk to the mainstream. I've had this debate with friends and was curious what u guys think.

Black Sabbath were the ones that practicly invented heavy metal. With their album Black Sabbath, their song that was also called black sabbath. Was the first heavy metal song ever.
