I could have seen Pink Floyd during their Division Bell tour when they were in Houston in '94. A highschool classmate of mine was going to sell me a ticket for $60 at time I didn't have the money...I kick myself every time I think about it...I would pay $600 to see them now

Question to Bride Of A Bull: How great was attending Live Aid? Must have been awesome! I have footage of Queen on vhs from that and they put on an incredible set.
I think that was the same reason I walked out on the Rolling Stones/Journey concert: dumbass kid (i.e., culture shock).

Live Aid was indeed awesome and in my mind as historical a musical event as Woodstock must have been to the generation before me.

Okay, I could easily have done without Phil the Slaphead and his Concorde capers - performing in London, taking Concorde to the US and appearing there as well - and the openers in London, Status Quo, but other than that, it was brilliant.

I especially enjoyed seeing Bowie - he gave up one of his three songs slots to the Cars' Drive and footage of starving babies in Ethiopia which had me in tears - and Bryan Ferry and Queen. I guess seeing Paul McCrapney in the finalé should get a mention as well, but I wasn't impressed with him as much as with the rest; it was a bloody long day too.

We sat directly opposite Their Royal Highnesses, the Prince and Princess of Wales, which was nice. Charles left early but Diana stayed for quite a long time. I still have my t-shirt from the show which I will hopefully incorporate in a t-shirt patchwork quilt I have planned.

I wish I'd be as old as you and could say that I've seen The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zep or whatever.
Ok, this fall, there are some good concerts in Zurich.
The Stones were here a week ago, David Bowie is going to come and one of my fav. bands, Maiden. That will be great. Dylan will also be here. And Deep Purple, and and... so, not that bad.

At Red Rocks in 1985. They were on their "Brothers In Arms" tour. It was awesome. (an overused adjective, but I can't think of a better one)

No problem, but I shouldn't say anything, because my English also isn't that good.

The answer, of course, is that you must be thinking of the guy sitting in the front of the audience with the purple pants. Dumbass.
