Is NFL football fixed?

I like to think the NFL isn't rigged, but lately I been seeing teams where they don't do anything for a whole game and then pull out a victory in the last few minutes. I don't just mean when the Colts beat Tampa Bay either. It seems like most of these games are rigged from the start to go along with whatever the spread is.

Anyways, let me know what your thoughts are.

I don't think it's rigged.

I think when teams get a big lead, they relax; have a letdown, feeling the game is really over. Then, when momentum shifts and the other team comes roaring back, they have trouble getting back into it.

If the NFL is fixed does that mean it can't breed baby football leagues? what about XFL?!?? and indoor football!!!!!!

I'd like to think that this is what makes the game exciting. Come to think of it, this is what makes 'sport' what it is....

there is no way the nfl could be fixed BECAUSE of all the crazy things that happen.
who would have imagined the colts coming back on the bucs like that? there have been so many crazy things that happen because of all the emotion and human nature involved. players aren't always the smartest people around and get cocky to early or they build their emotion from those around them.
there are so many human intangibles that need to be disected before you can say the game is rigged. what a game looks like on paper could end up being totally different on the field. another good example, look at my Dallas Cowboys, now (4-1) and in first place in their division. last year they won 5 games all year and were horrible. the only difference is a coach, Bill Parcells (ignoring the fact that of course the tuna is the best coach EVER in the nfl). who would have thought that a coach could make that much of a difference? like yogi berra once philosophized about baseball, "ninety percent of the game is half mental" i guess

I agree with you; however, baseball is played now played in many other countries around the world. It is the most popular sport in Japan and Central American countries.
