Actually, they were in Calgary (where I am) about 3 days ago. I was all prepared to take my friends to it and buy the tickets the very morning I could, but then I found out it wasn't actually Pink Floyd (I know, I'm stupid and not very aware of what's going on with the band and all, and didn't realize they weren't touring at all...are they?), and so I decided not to bother with it since it wasn't Pink Floyd.

Angry Comfortably Numb

Seems as though this band used it's show setup and ideas from Comfortably Numb in Ottawa. Canada...I went to the 'Calgary show'...very bad.

If you want to see the real deal:

www.comfortably-numb.ca

I saw them in October on my way to Montreal...holy wow!!!!

The singer/guitarist was outstanding as was the rest of the band.

There will never be a Pink Floyd but Floyd themselves...but I thought this band was very good and very honest. The other band I saw in Calgary was not good...people were leaving during the show...and $50 bucks a head...I saw Floyd themselves for $68.00 on the DSOThunder tour!!!!!

Peace

Wink Comfortably Numb " Canada's Original Pink Floyd Tribute" - www.comfortably-numb.ca

Comfortably Numb's upcoming show at La Maison De La Culture in Gatineau is SOLD OUT!!

The Ottawa Sun, Chez 106 Classic Rock, & Arc The Hotel proudly present:
Comfortably Numb performing "The Wall" at the Odyssee Room Theatre, January 10th, 2004 @ 8PM

Ottawa based band, Comfortably Numb, an award
winning Pink Floyd tribute band, announced today their upcoming performance at La Maison De La Culture inside the newly renovated Odyssee Room Theatre is officially sold out! The Odyssee Room Theatre is an 849 "soft seat" theatre
that offers state of the art sound and lighting in an intimate theatre environment. Comfortably Numb will be maximizing the venue's technical capacity as well as bringing in another "truck load" of equipment to stay honest with Pink Floyd's live shows of the past.
"This is going to be one of the biggest sound and light shows that the Odyssey Room theatre has ever produced say's Denis Paquette, Technical Director for La Maison De La Culture. Adding Comfortably Numbs gear to the mixand presenting the show in "Full Quadraphonic Surround Sound" will be a first for a rock show at La Maison De La Culture. Denis Paquette, who has many years of international experience in the music industry, has agreed to be Comfortably Numb's Sound Engineer for the show. "I am very excited to mix the show in "FULL QUAD" sound.

"There are many other Pink Floyd tribute bands in North America, but none that have specialized musically to perform certain shows as "The WALL" & "Dark Side of the Moon" in its entirety as what NUMB does. Comfortably Numb's show is truly unprecedented musically" says Denis Paquette. "While we get bands, plays, & solo artists to play at the Odyssee Room from all over the world, no other band from Ottawa has ever managed to sell out our venue the way Comfortably Numb has just done". We knew NUMB had a fan base but the results of selling out the venue speaks volumes for the band" explains Denis Paquette.

"Comfortably Numb fans have always been extremely loyal over the years but the amount of response we got for this show was overwhelming," says Gary Burns, CEO of Prism Management Group. "It got to the point a couple of weeks ago where we were contemplating adding a second show because this one was
virtually sold out. Being the holiday season, NUMB & PMG just decided to focus on the single night performance. We have already discussed briefly with the venue that when Comfortably Numb returns in the fall, they will play multiple
nights to keep up with the demand" says Gary Burns.

Chez 106 Classic Rock will be the official hosts for Comfortably Numb's upcoming performance. Chez 106 Classic Rock is also co-presenting the event with The Ottawa Sun and Arc The Hotel. Other sponsors for the event are Trend Music, Extreme Design, La Maison De La Culture, Millennium Limousines & Max Media. Comfortably Numb's upcoming show will feature re-designed state of art lighting, quadraphonic sound, enhanced visuals and stage design and some extra surprises to be revealed at show time.

Comfortably Numb have developed three premiere show's, re-creations of "The Wall & "Darkside of the Moon" and a "3 hour Retrospective show". All three shows combine state of the art sound, lighting, and stage visuals designed exclusively by John Clouter of Ottawa's 3D-design firm XYZ RGB.

Show time for the event is 8 PM sharp.
