Exclamation Check out this albumn

Thirteenth Step by A Perfect Circle is a must buy for anyone that has ever liked any of Tools stuff. Its not very hard but the albumn as a whole reminds me a lot of DSOTM.

Welcome to the forum, CPEDAI. Ignore the rabble. Make yourself at home and enjoy the facilities. Feel free to talk about whatever you'd like to talk about, whether it be Pink Floyd or not. Thanks for the heads up on said album.

Though it took me a few listens to get into, Thirteenth Step is a great sophomore effort by APC. Its sound is generally much more "open" and atmospheric than their debut, Mer De Noms.

My favorite song is The Noose -- pure sonic beauty. Other good songs are Blue, A Stranger, The Outsider, and Pet. The only songs that I didn't like were Crimes and Lullabye, which frankly sound like filler. Additionally, I kind of like the cover of The Nurse Who Loved Me (originally by Failure), but it sounds out of place on this album with its children's movie soundtrack-type feel.

I really like the Thirteenth Step, its the best new album I've bought in a while, after a plethora of catastrophic disappointments from my favorite bands over the past year.
The Noose, the outsider and Pet are all good. The Nurse Who Loved Me is pretty good although it hardly fits the whole mood of the album.
Excellent album altogether.

i got a couple of tool albums but i don't have the APC album. I've heard that Mer De Noms is a better album also. But I don't own either of em so I can't say that I have an opinion. What do you all think?

He never said it reminds him of tool. He said it's a must buy for tool fans, which makes sense since it's the same lead.

I didn't really like Mer De Norms that much, the only good songs were "Judith and "3 Libras" Maynard James Keenan did this thing with his voice where he held out every note a little too long that was annoying as hell.
I prefer APC to Tool, there's too much rambling bs on a tool album, every song on Lateralus seemed at least three or four minutes too long. Aenima had about five tracks in the middle that weren't even really songs. Undertow was their most focused album and they do make some incredible songs on every album.
