Re: Waters Rejoining Floyd....a good or bad thing???? Take a peek at the Live8 'Pink Floyd extras' bit- the tension still abounds. A shame, but true nonetheless.

Re: Waters Rejoining Floyd....a good or bad thing???? Reunion fever sweeps rock world A glut of veteran rock and pop bands have just announced that they will reform in 2007 - but why do they do it, and who could be next? According to Mark Sutherland, London bureau chief of Billboard magazine, there is one big reason why many bands get back together. "It's called money," he says. "Essentially that's what a reunion boils down to." There are still a few more legendary line-ups, though, who could command huge attention - and fees - if they decided to give it one more shot. "The biggest deal in terms of touring around the world would definitely be Pink Floyd," Mr. Sutherland says. PF are currently leading the online poll on that page on the question: "Which group do you most want to reform?" with 32.76% of the vote.

Re: Waters Rejoining Floyd....a good or bad thing???? If the only reason to reunite the band is business, I think that they'll never do it. It would be a nonsense for the performers of "Money". ![]() And even a huge disillusion for the fans.

Re: Waters Rejoining Floyd....a good or bad thing???? That's the point of view of a greedy manager, obviously. Pink Floyd have already been offered millions to tour after Live 8, every year they get similar offers I think in fact, so that would not be the motivation for a Floyd reunion. It's interesting how Roger Waters never fails to mention that he wouldn't hesitate to work with his (ex?) bandmates immediately. The impression is that in fact he really WANTS to work with the guys again. Check his latest interviews chez A Fleeting Glimpse to see what I mean. And that's related to another topic but so, who's being the real asshole now?
