Interesting Anonymous!! If Waters decides to reunite with the Floyd. He would probably take over the lyrics and leave Guy Pratt as the bassist. I can see Roger playing bass on the albums though. I don't see it happening I think it is something us fans are all cursed with!! But, like you said, you never know!!!

No No!! Waters would never rejoin the Pink Floyd. There is too much bitterness, not only between Gilmore, but with the others as well. Let's say he did, it wouldn't be the same. There would be too much fighting going on that either Mason or Wright would quit.

Let's just pretend that Waters did rejoin Floyd, I would be interested in seeing it (I doubt though he would with Dave in charge now, he's not much of a second banana kinda guy). Would the "new" Floyd be one of pessimism, like in the old days, or of forgiveness?

That's an interesting thought, but if they did I doubt it would still be the same. 20 years probably does change a person's music writing skills and lyric-writing, probably making it more "forgiving", as you put it Not Now John.

Yes that would be interesting - but i don't think it'll ever happen. If they DID however i think that they would employ someone to sorta keep eachother from getting on eachother's case. They're music would probably be like a cross between teh "Division Bell" and "Final Cut" - both of which have been debatably "not real Floyd". So it may not be all that good for creating new stuff - but if they went on tour together - that would certainly rock! Cheers, Patrick "Charade I Am"

Even the Sex Pistols had the good grace to call their last album "Flogging a dead horse".

Yeah, they would probably hire me to do that Charade.

I DON'T THINK THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN! Cause they hate each other's Guts right now, but even if they rejoined, they would too busy fighting. even if they didn't fight, the working relationship wouldn't been the same, It's been over 20 years, and they've developed differently, with different pepole. Plus,They couldn't recreate a suitable creation environment out of nowhere. If that's not enough, if they try ro do something ambitious, The media would probably try to depress them. So FORGET IT! IT WON'T HAPPEN! Sadly enough... The best you could hope for is either a fine Pink floyd concert in your home town, or maybe another Pink Floyd studio album, that probably wouldn't be as good as DSOTM or WYWH...

Huh ?! You'd really think that this topic was just one of wishful, really crazily wishful thinkin' but what the heck were human after all! Ahhhhh the heavenly feling if only those dudes never split!! But sadly that's life you know. There can never be continuous sucess and "all good things must come to an end". Known in science as 'The Law Of Averages'. We all must agree (I suppose) that had not this acrimonious split occured, PF wound undoubtadly be world No 1, with power enough to influence major desecions and the bendsmen more richer than the Sheik Of Kuwait I mean you guys tell me : a) Which band in the world has had an album on the US charts for 14 years ?! b) Which band has an album which is heard somewhere in the world every 20 seconds ?! c) Which band is so DAMNED good !! ![]() I rest my case. Ofcourse I still hope against hope but I have this gnawing thing in my heart that somehow they'll do it...after all they're Floyd....right ????!!....

It WOULD be nice if there were some way to get them back together...but I don't see it happening. I think too much was said and done. Has Mr. Waters grown more forgiving? Only on the surface, I think--maybe he doesn't say "F--- Pink Floyd" as much as he used to. But look how he skewered Mr. Wright in the 1999 Mojo article. And according to some other sources who were at that concert, the accusation Mr. Waters makes isn't even remotely true! I'm sorry, but you don't score points in my book with that sort of behaviour. If I were Mr. Wright, I would definitely threaten to quit if I suspected that there was a chance that Mr. Waters was coming back. And somehow...I don't think that the rest of the band would want to lose "me" again.
