i don't share that opinion. i've never heard the darkness but i've heard that they sound like ac/dc. they're gathering some good reviews though.

I have The Darkness album (Permission To Land) it's ok - loud drums, loud guitars, way over the top vocals. It's good for a laugh but it's hard not to think they're just taking the piss, they are incredibly popular over here at the moment scoring a top ten hit with I Believe In A Thing Called Love.

I've only heard part of "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" and I like it, but as previously stated, only because it's so funny. The video is good for a laugh, as well. They seem to me like a throw back to seventies era rock (not necessarily prog), but instead of good rock, more so crappy rock. No resemblance to AC/DC to me.

Also, audioslave sounds like their trying to rip off ac/dc as far as vocals go.

Cornell's vocals sound nothing like Brian Johnson and/or Bon Scott.

his voice just got crappier.

theirs were always like that, but in a good way.
