Sorry man but that album is lame, however i do credit Brubeck for writing the first jazz tune in 5/4 time, but one of the best albums is Miles Davis' "The Birth of Cool", im a huge jazz fan and jazz musician (trumpet if your curious) but my top favorites have to be Miles Davis , Freddie Hubbard,Donald Byrd, Diz' and Bird(Parker was only good with Diz),
Maynard Fergesun,Charles Mingus..............wow i could go on forever

If your thinking of Zappa's "Jazz Discharge Party Hats" ..then no.. Zappa is not truly a jazz musician..

Well, no more than "This is Spinal Tap" is truly a doccumentary..

Although, considering some of the people he played with (Jean Luc Ponty comes to mind), I can see how the distinction could be lost.

Well. I dont see him as a jazz musician, but theres alot of jazz in alot of his tunes.

Well, im into fusion jazz. I also love Tom Waits.
