Alright lads and lasses- I don't know how many of you bought the 97 vinyl re-releases, but they came (at least in the UK) with a pretty nice Hypgnosis large card featuring a bunch of lovely ladies wearing nothing but painted Pink Floyd album covers on their backs.

It's actually a pretty tasteful tableau and looks totally brilliant as a desktop theme. Anyway- no doubt a few of you already have it, but if you want it, email me @ mark@deluxedryclean.co.uk and I'll send it on to you.

It's a pretty large file, so if you've got a small or full inbox, it might be worth clearing it out a bit first, as I don't fancy having the thing bouncing back to me about 30 times or whatever.

Anyway-

Cheers,

Mark

Ha ha ha. Yes, this is a very "interesting" picture. I wonder how they did the picture though, they couldn't have gotten tattoos.

I think they use bodypaint, I've seen various pics of Woodstock '99 with girls who have on bodypaint and it looks pretty decent. And they have also used it on some magazine covers, Vanity Fair being one.

It's bodypaint. Tattoos might be a bit extreme for a single photoshoot, and also have the unique implication of cancelling out any further modelling career that any of the girls may have wished to embark on or continue.

Yes - this is a very um, nice picture.

In fact there's a place in Ann Arbor, Michigan called "Beyond the Wall" - a nice store devoted to posters of all sorts. In the Front window is a HUGE poster of this picture! You can imagine how surprised (let alone happy) i was to see this!

I then went to buy a smaller reprint of it for my friend.

But this really is a great poster - though i don't think "relics" really fits in.

Hiya Pete.
Look on the net for "ACDSEE". It's the viewing program I use, and automatically shows everything to "best fit", or lets you resize accordingly. I'm sure you can download it from somewhere.

Cheers,

Mark

Charade You Are,

Relics should most certainly be included.

Isn't it the only album cover designed by one of the band, this being Nick Mason?

For all those (us?) PF purists out there, on here

Floyd on!

Yeah- but not really, I dunno if you've seen the pic, byron, but it's the later, 90's version and not the original Nick Mason penned article.

Careful with that biro eugene.

Charade You Are,

Sorry, I don't mean to bully. If youi don't think it should be there, that's okay too.

In any event, I saw in the discography section that the Relics album there has a completely different album cover than the one I own, I mean the several formats of which I own: vinyl, cassette, CD.

"Curiouser and curiouser", said Alice.

Floyd on!

Yeah- that's weird. I've never seen the cover that they feature in the discography ANYWHERE else ever.
