The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

OK, so I saw this last night, and to be honest I haven't been able to think about an awful lot else. So I was wondering, what do you all think of it?

Re: The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

Look, I disliked the first one (one of most overrated films ever), so I guess there's no chance I can love the sequel.
Forget about going to the theatre... maybe somebody will give me the DivX one of these days... otherwise I'll wait for the TV broadcasting.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it eithier. I certainly wouldn't spend 9$ to see it at the theatre.

Re: The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

Well, it has been called by many the greatest movie ever made. I think we can all agree that this is overrating it, just a bit.

It's a fun movie, but come on...

"Oh! Lets get to the phone booth!" ...give me a break.

Re: The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

Not having seen it yet, I have no opinion.

I can say this, I marginally enjoyed the first (check out the 13th Floor for a better movie on the same concept, without all the crap). I've been told the second is crap with outstanding effects. I plan to watch it in the theater for this reason alone. The 27-incher wouldn't do a plotless, fx movie justice.

Re: The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

Haven't seen it yet. Enjoyed the first one though...so I'm guessing I'll probably enjoy this too.

What did people think of X-Men 2? I was a bit ho-hum about the whole thing, frankly.

Re: The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

i thought x-2 wasn't too bad. but i'm also an x-men dork and i wet my pants when colossus made an appearance (the guy that turned metallic). as for the matrix the fight scenes were cool because they were creative and all that. and i've always had an affinity for kung fu movies with really long fight scenes. it was a bit too long with too much filler crap that didn't really need to be in there. but it wasn't bad for $6 (one of the advantages of living in the sticks is movies are cheap).but it wasn't as good as the first one probably because the first one was new and fresh at the time while the new one is more of the same.

Re: The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

i hated the sex scene. it does not belong in matrix, even if Trinity get's pregnant or whatever.
When the movie was over, i hated it, but, when i got home, it got to me, and i realized i loved it.
I also think it's one of those movies which are better the 2nd time you see it.

Well, it's been said that it's mature science fiction, that it's one of the best films ever, and so on... I think it had brilliant special fx and a screenplay which is... well, just ridicolous. It's just an enjoyable Hollywood movie, but nothing more, really.

I liked the sex scene, i thought it was rather beautfully and tastefull choreogrpahed and i think it has an important part in the movie. Shows that we as humans can after all do much more than machines. That no matter how superior they become to us nothing beats good ol' human contact.

Overall I loved the movie, but I love my trilogies and I think that there is a lot more to the Matrix than just the special effects. It's very philosophical

cheers

Re: The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

Lej, if its available in Oz, which it probably isn't cause it was an independent flick, get The Thirteenth Floor, seriously, much better, but no effects.

I enjoyed X-Men 2, more than the original. I too wet myself to see Colossus. And of course it set itself up for X3, let the Phoenix Saga begin (frankly the best X-Men storyline ever).

Re: The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

I'm not much into this genre of movies.

I've always liked a good comedy. My favorite movies are comedies.

I recently watched 'Amelie' I liked it...it made me smile.

Re: The Matrix Reloaded: You just know you love it

At least the Matrix Reloaded isn't as pretentious as the first. Its a blockbuster movie, nothing more, but one of the best blockbusters I've ever seen.

The sequel is very good, obviously a lot of effort was put into it. I think they did well.
