Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

Gibson Epiphone, not sure all the details on it, my mother got it as a gift, but she never plays electrics, so she gave it to me.

Amp's a shitty Crate, but if I get the distortion right, you can play some nice blues on it.

A Crestline(?) acoustic that my mom bought when she was 16 or 17. So that means the guitar is almost 20 years older than I am, but it sounds awesome.

I have D'addario strings on both. Buying some Elixir's for the acoustic tomorrow though. That's it, I have no pedals, only when I borrow from my step-dad.

Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

I haven't got a new guitar since my white MIM strat almost 3 years ago. I have my eye on an Epiphone Casino (ebony!) but can't justify spending the money on it right now.

Maybe I'll sell a couple of other guitars to make room.

Right. That's like asking yourself, "which child shall I sell?"

Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

I'm gonna sell a guitar on ebay. It's a 2001 ESP LTD MH-301 (see-thru Green) that I bought new for $600, shooting for $400 on ebay, but will sell for $300 + shipping to anyone on this board who is interested.

EDIT: Shit. Posted before I was ready. PM me for details, anyone interested.

Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

Guitar #1:sparkly red Fender Stratocaster MIM, seymour duncan pickups in neck and middle, seymour duncan humbucker at bridge (with coil tap) and a sparkly white pickguard.

Guitar #2:POS 80s Fender Squier bullet.

Preamp #1: Peavey rockmaster. Excellent crunchy overdrive.

Amp #1: Peavey Classic 30 combo. Love the sound.

Amp #2: Peavey Express 112 combo. Nice and light.

Amp #3: Some kind of POS 10-20 watt Crate amp. Input jack requires a lot of toying with to get it to work.

I use ernie ball greens and cheap ass red picks.

Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

My main stuff:

GUITARS:
Fender Standard Tele
black w/ maple neck, white pearloid pickguard, Jazz Bass knobs, two stickers (the sticker I got when I voted; and another one that's black and says 'What Would Bill Hicks Say?')

Epiphone Les Paul Junior
black w/ rosewood neck, new tuners, otherwise stock (that cheap pickup is pretty nice-sounding)
No stickers

AMP:
Fender Super Reverb, '65 reissue
I plug exclusively into the 'vibrato' channel, preferably the #1 input

PEDALS: (in order of chain)
MXR Distortion +
I use it as an overdrive, it helps to span the bridge between tube break-up and full-on distortion. Basically, adds a little more balls...

Boss DS-1
Orange and loveable, a little hummy though

Boss CH-1 Super Chorus
Got this last week, does a far better job than the Ibanez Session-Man I was using for chorus

And that's about it for guitar stuff.
D'Addario .10 gauge strings, green Dunlop picks

GEM Model-P combo organ
-uses a Yamaha G-101 2X12" for amplification
Hammond M3 spinet organ
-I am getting a Motion Sound rotating beast for this thing sometime, it deserves it
