Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

We have kind of covered this in former threads..see here..

http://www.pinkfloydfan.net/t1721-15...0stack--1.html

But I suppose this is specific enough to let it stand on it's own..

In any case...

Gtr #1: Fender Stratocaster, white, tortiose shell pickguard, rosewood neck, std Fender pickups at bridge and middle, Seymour Duncan Hot Rail at the neck. Ernie Ball Regular Slinkies..

Gtr #2: Dean Sarasota: semi hollow electric, two humbuckers (soon to be replaced with SD's). Dean Markley flatwound ultralights.

Gtr#3: Yamaha FG 75, accoustic. Old beater, sounds sooooo sweet.

Grt #4: Telecaster, homebuilt (by moi). Seymour Duncan Std Tele bridge, Seymour Duncan 1/4 lb humbucker at the neck. See the "Big Project Completed" thread. Ernie Ball Heavy Slinkies (SRV "Barbed Wire" strings)....

In progress......Building a PRS Custon 22 knockoff. In process. I have quite a ways to go. Body & Neck from Warmouth Guitar products. http://www.warmoth.com/index.htm I should finish it off early next year..

Picks.....when I use them (rarely) the ones that you can get for $2.00 a handfull at Music-go-Round..

Amps....

#1: Old Peavy Audition 20. great little practice amp. Also use it to jam with buds....

#2: Marshall Micro Stack.. Love this little guy, 20 watts, about 3 feet tall. Makes by basement sound like Altamont or Woodstock.

#3: Crate Blue Voodoo head & 4 x 12 cab. Stage amp, 120 watts....Grab something and hold on........

I have recently sold all my millions of pedals and replaced them all with a........

Digitech RP200A modeling effects processor... I love this guy.. 13 effects in one package.. it's F*****G Awesome..

Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

Here's another related thread:

http://www.pinkfloydfan.net/t2492.html

My amp is a Fender Deluxe 90. I have some effects stuff (flanger, chorus, distortion, cry baby) but don't use em that much.

Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

Keyboard: Yamaha S-90
Amp: Crate KX-50 (buzzes a lot)
Guitar: some cruddy Austin I got for cheap
Guitar: my Dad's Gibson Mustang
Synthesizer: Casio CZ-101
Effects processor: Yamaha EMP-100

And I use my Mac for recording sequences and all that. I have Reason on there, and it works great. For those who don't know what Reason is, it's a program that gives you a virtual mixer, synthesizers, effects, and all sorts of other goodies, and you can have as much of whatever module you want (as long as your CPU holds out), and it comes with it's own sequencer!

Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

Where I live, most bass players detest the using of picks, I guess. Must be a southern Wisconsin thing.....
Though "Thunderfingers" sounds better than "Thunderpicks"......

Re: Your gear, guitar or whatever

It's actually more a question of the style of music being played. My post was more a joke aimed at earlier in the thread where "real bass players don't use picks" was said.

Like, for example I play a lot of Floyd and Tool. Both of which have (had) bass players that use picks.
