Meddle

Meddle is indeed a very good album. I would give it a 54 of 60 - That is - Seamus would take a 4 / 10. Like many Floyd fans - I simply dont't like much that song. The rest of the songs are super, especially Echoes.

OOTD - 5/5 (yes Dave's bass playingAnd live versions are smashin' !!!
Pillow - such a mellow thing ! Gentle voice...acoustic guitar...mmm....I'm melting...
Fearless - never understood this song, but it's quite lovely
STropez - that's a masrepiese ! Really. So unusual for PF !
Seamus - what a fun !!! I wonder who's dog is it ? (do you know ?)
Echoes - the best of the best. Boring ? No way ! Love every note of it !
And to put some more oil into the fire - I always thought that the bass line from Hey You is the best bass line PF ever produced. And recently I got to know that it is actually Dave playing bass. :smile How about it ? :smile:

I don't know how you can say Roger was a bad bassist, have you heard Interstellar Overdrive? The beginning bit with the bass is pure genius, took my bass teacher months to figure out how Roger even did it!

I never said Rog is bad bassist. He's bad vocalist deff. but I really like some of his bass playing.

It was mentioned somewhere else previously, but Dave played a fair amount of the recorded bass parts throughout Floyd's career. Roger used to jokingly thank him for the plaudits that he used to recieve.

The covers amazing - how it opens into an ear, so obvious when you finally see it - but not so obvious when you try and figure it out.

I don't know. Whenever I've listened to Echoes (which is a lot) I've never pictured whales. But, that's just me. As it always is.
