I guess my post was indeed inevitable considering my Alfred E. Neuman avatar.

Happy 50th, Alfred and MAD.

I voted for 60-70 and 70-80 because those are the periods (late 60's to late 70's) with which I am most familiar.

My favourite bits were the film spoofs, the foldy, transforming centre pages and to a lesser extent, Spy-vs-Spy.

Just another brick in the wall...

I voted for 53-60, but early 60's were great too.

My favorite: Mort Drucker's movie and TV parodies.

I also voted 60-80. I was raised on MAD, read every issue from 1968 to 1979. That may explain a lot.

My faves.... Druckers parodies, Spy-vs-Spy, and the fold.......

Hmmm. Looks like just us "old guys" like Mad.

It frightens me that I have two things in common with TC.

I used to read MAD, and then i graduated into junior high. i remember having some pretty old ones from the seventies or around thereabouts. probably in some box with my comic books next to my dusty and untouched SNES. Oh, youth...

I am familiar with MAD. I loved it, as Maurice said, before Junior High.
