yeah, i got Pompeii for xmas, and when i first saw it i felt the same way. it was mediocre seeming at first...but then the second viewing was just awesome. Pompeii is just so great...its greatness just can't be stressed enough.

p.s. yeah, we definatly need a live Wall concert DVD. that too would be awesome.

That movie is so damn good, it was love at first sight, literally. It makes you want to go play music, even though you couldn't play any instrument. That sure is the best DVD i own.

you know, truth be told, I wish Adrian had left the original alone and had just cleaned it up a bit, not messed with it. it's a fine job, indeed, the video is great compared to vhs. i suppose he could have done something with the audio, but it doesn't matter to me any. as it were, Pink Floyd fans, give us an inch and we want a mile.

Ain't that the truth!

I am hoping for the DVD for b'day soon, but was always disappointed in the VHS vid I have viewed maybe twice. Not the band nor the music but the vid...seemed a mite fuzzy.

I definetly loved the movie. Great to see the Floyd playing live and it makes me go mad everytime i see it. Only thing is, I hate it how the director decided to add cheap CG stuff to it. I would rather watch the original stuff. Oh well...

well, at least they also got the original cut on the DVD. I really watch the new version only for the added interviews, those computer graphics are so ridiculous! It looks like it was done ten years ago...

I think that if you picture yourself as dave. And you want to make a new dvd. You feel that showing off a concert is booring. But if you see it like we do, thats all we want. I dont want some art or shit, if i want that, i go to a freekin museum. I WANT floyd, floyd and FLOYD. All the time they show all that crap, why cant they show pictures of floyd? clips of floyd. There have to be a bunch of not released stuff. WE WANT FLOYD!

Actually, Dave Gilmour has nothing to do with the release of Pompeii DVD.

Didn't they re-shoot a load of stuff in France?

covers. But it was interesting enough. Come' on guys, release
a DVD of the entire "Wall" show. You must've filmed it, I've seen small segments of footage from it. You gave us "Is there anybody out there?" How 'bout "Pink Floyd The Wall Live 1980 on DVD"??
That would be a classic, especially if they had the first gig where the set caught fire.

I'd also like to see the concert that 'The Azimuth Coordinator part2 was from', where was it? Montreal?

hey does anyone know what Bass guitar Roger was using in that video? I think its a fender but I really dont know. I like it though, Im thinking about getting one. I know that he used to use Rickenbauckers back in the sixties, but I didn't know how many he would have once they got really big.

actually if you watch the interview with the director of Pompeii, he says that David was the one he spoke too when he decided to do a film in pompeii. David went back to talk with the others, and thats when they decided to do it. So the video might never have happened if David didn't think it was a good idea. of course the studio video was allowed by Roger, and he said he only wanted one camera in the studio as well, thats why the camera just kind of moves around all the time in the studio, cause it has too, to get all the shots needed.
