When I first bought Pompeii and watched it, I was miffed because they didn't show more of Dave. The camaraman was evidently in love with Nick & his drums. Well, I guess you can't blame 'im, Nick was the only one actually moving.

yeah cause dave is a kick ass guitar player and in nick masons prime he was a kick ass drummer i think he the only one ever to tour with tympanis. but yeah all i saw was nick and roger there stuff really dominated the movie but we did get to dave's saucer solo and some other solo work BEHIND ROGER.... cause he always does great guitar work he could even make the mad scientist sound work and also sublimital guitar sounds

another thing i love about that movie was the camera work on echos i like the part in the funky section of the song were the camera on the track is rolling by looking at them wile the cabnets are in the way i just think that seems so odd its cool

i just love the sound they were able to get out on the day of recording cause it takes alot of work to set up your effects to get the right sound

but that might lead into the overdubbing people say they did on the concert

That decides it. Everybody I've talked to says it's great. I'll go out and get it today and check back as to how I liked it.

I got it and it is the most awesome DVD ever. All the music is incredible, the scenery is so FLoyd, and the interviews added between the songs were awesome as well. Definitely worth $20.

It's neat seeing people discovering "Live at Pompeii" for the first time. I sort of wish I hadn't seen it or known about it until now. Ever since I first saw it, I loved the music, but hated the VHS since VHS sucks ass. I waited four long years... but it's finally here. SWEET SWEET digital!!!

Pompeii is awesome!!! Especially during Echoes I when the camera shows Dave playing topless....
I feel funny when he does his solo and shakes the guitar the way he does..... hehehehe

I noticed that in the interview with Adrian Maben he mentioned that much of the film had been lost which showed Dave, Roger and Rick playing their instruments, esp. on the Song "One Of These Days". That is the reason only Nick is shown, they had nothing else.

I madly fell in love with the Pompeii film from the moment I first saw it. It's still my favorite concert film (above Portishead's, as well... quite a feat).

I like Pompeii because it's not just footage of the band standing around playing instruments for an hour--you get to see funny interviews and them traipsing around the lava fields and cool artwork!

I dig the Pompeii footage & the extras. But what I'm really
hoping for, is a DVD of the "Wall Concert" from 1980. I've seen
Water's Berlin performance and was not very impressed, only because I never like seeing/hearing other artists doing Floyd
covers. But it was interesting enough. Come' on guys, release
a DVD of the entire "Wall" show. You must've filmed it, I've seen small segments of footage from it. You gave us "Is there anybody out there?" How 'bout "Pink Floyd The Wall Live 1980 on DVD"??
