Re: More (film)

mudman2002,

Welcome. and just FYI you, I and perhaps a handful of others here are probably the only ones who really like MORE, the album.

When I was a Fledgling Floydian, after DSOTM, WYWH and ANIMALS, MORE just happened to be my next PF purchase (It MUST have been while I was stationed in shit-kickers' heaven: Idaho). I thought MORE was very strange at first, but learned to love it because of that strangenes, especially compared with the first three mentioned. I suppose I just accepted it as being an early, unfamiliar Floyd example, not to mention a Soundtrack - frequently a bad idea.

Imagine a young man with the thrill of those four PF albums but not yet having heard MEDDLE, OBC or "the" NICE PAIR. If only I'd known how bereft I was then, ignorance being bliss and all.

MORE Floyd!
Byron

Re: More (film)

i like more. i like 'up the khyber' 'main theme' and 'party sequence', all the instrumentals. cymbaline is aight too. not even close to my fav, but good. but one thing i hate about it is it seems that it was remastered pretty shitty compared to some other cds of the time. strong hiss. maybe im just picky. it is a newer remastered version though.
