Re: Pink Floyd The Greatest?

I'm sorry, you use terms like "we" and "our" when making claims but I only "hear" you stating these assumptions (you may need the dictionary for that one) as undeniable fact. Well, I deny them. You cannot assume or decide for me, or anyone else, whether or not or in what capacity or magnitude I take pleasure. If you see me smile it is absurd to immediately assume that I am happy.

You may well drink water with a metallic taste, but then you aren't tasting the water are you? It's the metal in the water which you are tasting. I may well be a simpleton, but these are not lofty ideas you are trying to put forward, and you have failed to convince even this simpleton that your flawed opinion is fact. I, on the other, know who I may "think" is the greatest band but I have the sense to know that this thought is not fact.

As I said before, you can use any term you like and mean anything you like by them but if you use a term which IS otherwise universally accepted to mean a certain thing, your arrogant redefinition of meaning holds no...er...water (pure, drinking or otherwise).

Get on, indeed, with your imperious and peurile attempts to convince the generally unconvinced that your opinion is fact. Knock yourself out. Keep trying.

BTW, I think Money sounds superb. In my opinion, it's a very good PF song. Others will disagree, but I care not.
But, remember what I warned you about personal abuse next time you condescend to respond. You won't be warned again.

It's like someone who wants to wear bright orange trousers but daren't for the fear of being ridiculed. We all have inhibitions Bride of a Bull, its part of our human mental make up, or is it just you who's a computer, incapable of emotion, or a young calf not self-aware.

I'm not sure what sort of masturbatory glee you get from trolling here, but I'd like to educate you on a few points, matthew.

Your fear of social stigma re: Bach is laughable. People with sufficient self-esteem understand that their tastes in music are, in fact, their own and subjective - and couldn't give a toss about "there credibility/image". If you lack sufficient moral courage to own up to your own tastes in music, I doubt you have sufficient backbone to deal with the real choices life puts before us on a daily basis - and you can be assured the people around you have noticed that, and trust you accordingly.

But it isn't really true that you think that, is it? I've read all 78 posts you put up here to date, and it seems that all you really want is attention - and since you don't actually have anything new or interesting to say, the only easy way to get it is by antagonizing other users and making puerile blanket statements you then defend by accusing your detractors of stupidity. Here's a hot tip for you - the psychiatrists have a name for that. I suggest you look it up, as it's a defect worthy of therapy.

I could go on with my analysis of your little endeavor in trolling here, but I think I've given you an overload of things to consider, matthew. I'll just put you on 'Ignore' now and go on with my interesting life and relationships, and leave you to your flickering screen, bottle of lubricant, and roll of paper towels.

He called you a simpleton, Byron (snicker).

Re: Pink Floyd The Greatest?

I'd say give it a rest, matthew. If you weren't able to convince people after 78 tries, I'd just forget about it and go on with life. It's Ok once in a while to be proved wrong.

No, but we weren't supposed to prove anything. Just as Simon sais, we don't have to prove anything, that is all let to Mr. Gill. Of course, he has yet to realise that proving something in your mind and in reality are to different things entirely.

Rob: I know, but I have been called worse by you yourself and I hold you in far higher esteem than good ol' mattgill could ever hope for, so no harm, no foul.

a) I've never called you names. I will admit to certain adjectives.

b) That is a very low bar you set re: esteem. I am wounded.
