Yes I can, we all perceive things the same, we both like Money because of it's energy and it's frank lyrics, it's a fun song but neither of us actually find it's general sound melodious. (especially the piercing guitar) Your happiness is something "we" cannot sense, "we" are not telepathic. Quote:
Don't be so presumptuous my facile friend I will prove to you in time Floyd are the greatest. Quote:

I'm not actually a marlins fan, or come to think of it, a baseball fan. (and yes I've seen enough of it Cheese, you facetious foister) The image is there for a reason and as I'm still seen as a sub-par newbie I am not yet ready to state why. |

Pink Floyd has been a huge burden for me especially when dating were partners (girlfriends Cheese) positively will not listen to my music but I throw caution to the wind and play it anyway usually to constant moans of "thats the kind of sh*t my dad listens to." I just ignore it because I love the Floyd. (if she was really special I might meet her demands) If it were classical i.e. klaus doldinger I'd politely turn it off due to me having a casual intrerest in the genre. (I will admit to liking anything but if the quality of life suffers because of my liking/playing of certain music I will take the appropriate measures) - this is all true of our nature, why denounce it Rob the lad? [quote]But it isn't really true that you think that, is it? I've read all 78 posts you put up here to date, and it seems that all you really want is attention - and since you don't actually have anything new or interesting to say, the only easy way to get it is by antagonizing other users and making puerile blanket statements you then defend by accusing your detractors of stupidity. Here's a hot tip for you - the psychiatrists have a name for that. I suggest you look it up, as it's a defect worthy of therapy.[/qoute] You could'nt tell I was after attention after 25 posts? Well it's seems there must have been something a little interesting for you to carry on reading the rest. Psychiatrists would consider repeat posts like yours clang association. (Am I in your head Rob the lad, is one of your eyes slightly lower than the other?) Ridicule is the only language these prima donnas' seem to understand. Quote:

Yes they would come to love it, period. It's just they have predudices which make them arbitarily not like the music at first, for a variety of reasons. It's like Andy Williams, when my mum first played him to me I said Get that off it's horrid. mainy because of the imagery of black and white films the sound gave me and the association the music had with old folk, but after time (hearing it in the kitchen etc) I started to like the majority of his songs - exposure! I've had girls who have got to the point we're they are practically screaming "put comfortably numb on again!!!!" and they're all singing along to it, same with Another , this is mainly because the song's grown on them. Still if a fit lad walked by they shout quick turn it off, and thats my self-image point. I could never get anyone to like the sound of Seamus though. (perhaps if the dog reminded them of their old dog maybe) Last edited by matthew gill; 12-02-2003 at 04:39 PM. |
