I actually know a lot of people who like neither chocolate nor ice cream. I personally like broccoli. And who cares about how whales sound?

That's impossible, they just haven't eaten enough of it or I bet they eat it secretly when you're not around.

Pink floyd sound is f'ing sad and thats why a lot of people refuse to give them the time of day, they are used to the upbeat radio friendly ditties thats all, I'm sure they all hum comfortably numb when your not around.

I hate chocolate.

Re: Pink Floyd The Greatest?

gerald you dont like the taste of broccoli but rather the texture, who dislikes chocolate? Chocolate's universally enjoyable it's probably the fact chocolate makes you fat or brings you out in spots and not the fact that you think chocolate tastes foul. Dr cheesy I suppose making love is not enjoyable (save for a bad bacK) gerald I suppose if I state the fact that the taste of human waste is unpleasant you'd disagree! - awaiting a melee of short denial answers!!!!!!!!

Re: Pink Floyd The Greatest?

I'll reiterate, not many people have been exposed to the floyd, nearly everyone I met haven't had the pleasure of listening to dark side or wywh, short of buying the album or borrowing it there's no way they can get to listen to it apart from on macabre documentaries where they are probably not aware its pink floyd anyway. I found floyd rooting through my dads old records, most of my friends have aquired the taste through me(sounds rude) I've not heard of many people getting in to the floyd through the media, it's mostly by word of mouth. It's fairly isoteric music that gets a huge loyal following on the fact that it's so flaming good
Music of this standard doesn't need marketing gimmicks it sells itself. It's not about what you like to listen to it's about what music you have been exposed to, i.e when I was 14 I liked Bros, At the time I didn't even know who pink floyd where, your taste in music improves with age, look at all the kids currently listening to busted in 15 years time they'll be relaxing to a bit of bach or indulging in a bit of mythology with early genesis material. ITS ALL ABOUT EXPOSURE, IF I'D NEVER HEARD PINK FLOYDS' MUSIC AND SOMEONE PLAYED SEAMUS TO ME I'D PROMPTLY TELL THEM TO F'OFF, BUT UPON A LATER AIRING OF ECHOES I WOULD LITERALLY KISS THEM. If 2 people in the world don't like star wars it doesn't mean I've not got the right to say that it's a fact that star wars is a good film. It's logic. It's too obvious to be an opinion. I dislike Manchester United but I am smart enough to acknowledge there a good team. I love Sheff Weds yet I realise by top flight standards they are pretty shitty. If you reason with me you'll soon realise a lot of what I am writing is fairly accurate.

Re: Pink Floyd The Greatest?

You know, I could point out at least eight reasons why Star Wars is a bad film.

By the by, I still prefer blue cheese to chocolate. And that, sir, is a fact.

Re: Pink Floyd The Greatest?

theres more good elements to star wars than bad ergo it's a bloody good film i.e good soundtrack, great visuals, mind blowing effects, more than intresting characters and the storyline is awesome. I suppose a storm trooper banging his head makes it a bad film then? You keep trying to disprove my views but have no real evidence, not substantial. EVERYTHING HAS GOOD AND BAD ELEMENTS, YOU'VE JUST GOT TO WEIGH THEM OUT........nearly all the world dies because of some fast acting disease it's a disaster! very bad indeed, but for the earth it's a blessing, over population gone, pollution eased, animals can thrive without being over hunted, the rain forests can flourish once more. Some times it's all about perception, but if we all had the chance to release the disease only a minority would.
